VAL DI NOTO
The Val di Noto is a UNESCO world heritage site (The Baroque Cities of the Val di Noto). It consists of the eight towns shown by the markers on the map below: Caltagirone, Militello in Val di Catania, Catania, Modica, Noto, Palazzolo Acreide, Ragusa and Scicli.
VAL DEMONE
The area of ​​the former Val Demone is the Northeast territory of Sicily. This is characterized by the Nebrodi Mountains; therefore the presence of numerous springs and wooded areas is abundant. The greatest height is constituted by Etna. Val Demone extends throughout the province of Messina, of Catania and Enna.
VAL DI MAZARA
Val di Mazara is the west territory of Sicily and the largest of the administrative compartments in which Sicily was divided in the late Middle Ages and into the Modern Age, up until 1812. Val di Mazara included the entire coastal part of western Sicily from the Gulf of Termini to the beach of Sciacca including Palermo, of Agrigento and Trapani.
