Where are you based?
We are based in the southeast of Sicily, in Modica, and across the Val di Noto. This comprises ancient cities such Siracusa, Noto, Marzamemi, Modica, Ragusa and Scicli. The farm Villa Carmela is based in the countryside of Modica, Boutique Barocca is based in Modica historic centre.

What are the travel information?
​We are meeting at Catania Fontanarossa Airport. If you are flying from the US, Australia, or Canada, direct flights to Rome and Milan are now available. You will then need book a flight to Catania Airport to meet us and start your holiday!
Where are we meeting?
We are meeting at Catania Fontanarossa Airport. Our airport transfer will be included from Catania Fontanarossa Airport to our venues. Our WhereinSicily group transfer will meet you at the Airport with your name, collect you and your fellow guests, and take you to your venue.
How many people will be in my cooking holiday?
We keep groups small with a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 10 people per class. This way your chef and host can focus on the individual needs of the group and you’ll get the most out of your holiday.
What cities am I going to visit?
You will be going on day trips to Ortigia Island in Siracusa, visit baroque capital Noto and fishing village Marzamemi, and visit the Val di Noto and its beautiful late baroque architecture in the stunning city of Ragusa, Modica and Scicli.
What culinary tours will I enjoy?
Local culinary tours such as wine tasting in local vineyards, cheese tour in local farms, chocolate tours in Modica and experience gastronomy at its finest with a variety of market tours across the cities that we will be visiting.
What type of food will we be cooking?
You’ll learn new techniques and skills on our hands-on experience, while creating recipes traditional to the region using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Dishes you will sample will be different from day to day. Whilst the dishes will vary, one thing is guaranteed: the food will be local and authentic to the Sicilian culture. Fish, meet, fresh pasta and desserts.
Do I have to pay a Single Supplement?
We have never charged a single holiday supplement and we never will. We did promise that we will never penalise single travellers. When you join our holidays you will have your own private room with ensuite bathroom and plenty of space for you to be relaxed and feeling at home.
What is the difference between the two venues?
Boutique Barocca is located in the historic centre of Modica. It's an 18th century palace with a unique layout for its location, its terrace overlooking the city, and its unique kitchen carved into the rock, a cave. Villa Carmela is a renovated farm located in the countryside of Modica. The villa has its own pool, a large garden where you can relax during your free time.
